There are two types of education, “traditional education” and “financial education.” Unfortunately, most school systems aren’t teaching kids about money. Yet, parents tell their kids to go to school, graduate in 4 years, and get a good paying job. The kids leave with $100k in debt, settle for a job at Starbucks and spend the rest of their lives paying away their loans. While this may be an appropriate pathway for certain professional fields: accounting, medical, law, etc… .. Simply put, it’s not a practical use of time nor money for an entrepreneur.
Google, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Microsoft, and Wendy’s Hamburgers are just a few of the thousands of businesses started by dropouts.
The most successful entrepreneurs tend to be self-educated. Example: Henry Ford couldn’t go to school to learn how to make cars. There weren’t any. Mark Zuckerburg couldn’t learn about how to create a social network. They figure out want they want to do and learn what is necessary to accomplish it.
Below are some famous entrepreneurs who did not complete schooling.
